We are looking for an experienced Senior Java Spring Boot Developer to join our client's Gauteng office. This is an office-based role ideal for a senior engineer who thrives on building scalable, enterprise-level applications and contributing to a high-performing team.

Key Responsibilities:

·        Develop, maintain, and enhance Java applications using Spring Boot and related technologies

·        Design and implement scalable microservices and RESTful APIs

·        Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions

·        Conduct code reviews, ensure adherence to best practices, and maintain high-quality standards

·        Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues in production and development environments

·        Mentor junior developers and share technical knowledge within the team

·        Participate in agile ceremonies and contribute to technical roadmap planning

Requirements:

·        8+ years of professional Java development experience

·        Strong expertise with Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Data, and Spring Security

·        Experience with microservices architecture and RESTful API design

·        Relational database experience (MySQL, PostgreSQL, or Oracle)

·        Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and version control systems (Git)

·        Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) is advantageous

·        Unit testing and test-driven development experience
