Value Facilities Management is looking for a detail-oriented Payroll and Human Resource Administrator to join our Human Resources team.
Purpose:
This role is responsible for the accurate and efficient administration of payroll, ensuring employees across our national footprint are paid accurately and on time. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining payroll integrity, compliance, and supporting payroll-related queries.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer payroll and support human resources
- Process payroll transactions including new hires, terminations, salary changes, incentives, overtime, and deductions
- Ensure accurate monthly payroll processing in line with payroll calendars and internal controls
- Maintain payroll records and ensure compliance with South African payroll legislation (PAYE, UIF, SDL)
- Process statutory submissions and assist with SARS reconciliations and reporting
- Manage payroll-related queries from employees
- Administer employee benefits, leave balances, and payroll adjustments
- Support audits and maintain proper payroll documentation and reporting
- Collaborate closely with HR and Finance to ensuredata accuracy across employee systems
- Draft employment-related letters
- Support engagement initiatives and wellbeing programmes
- Coordinate onboarding and offboarding processes
- Ensure all withdrawal claims are submitted on time
Required Skills
- Microsoft Excel: 2 to 3 years
- Report Writing Skills: 1 to 2 years
- Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills
Candidate Requirements
Requirements:
- 3–5 years’ payroll administration experience, preferably in a retail or multi-site environment
- Experience managing large payroll
- Strong understanding of South African payroll legislation and statutory requirements
- Experience with payroll systems (e.g., Sage)
- Diploma in human resource or equivalent qualification
- Matric certified
- Code 8 drivers license
