Purpose Statement

Wilderness Air is seeking a Training Manager to oversee and manage all training activities within the organisation. The Training Manager is a senior appointment identified by the Accountable Manager, in consultation with Group Air Support, and must be accepted by the Civil Aviation Authority.

This role carries the responsibility to ensure that all training activities conducted by or on behalf of Wilderness Air are compliant with applicable Civil Aviation Regulations, the Flight Operations Manual, the Training Manual, and all organisational safety and insurance requirements. The Training Manager is accountable for ensuring the safe, efficient, and legally compliant delivery of flight training across the organisation.

Minimum Education & Training Requirements

• Valid Commercial Pilot Licence (CPL).
• Minimum Grade III Flight Instructor Rating.
• Broad operational knowledge across aviation functions including aircraft operations, air traffic management, aerodrome operations, maintenance organisation management, and training management.
• Sound knowledge of aviation safety management principles and practices.

Minimum Work Experience

• Minimum 4 years’ experience in the aviation industry.
• At least 100 hours of flight instruction experience.

Additional Experience (Advantageous)

• Experience within tourist charter aviation operations.
• Experience working in multi-national and multicultural environments.
• Management experience within an air service company operating multiple aircraft types.
• Experience within an aviation company operating as part of a large corporate group.
• Valid citizenship, residency, or work permit for the region.
