Job Title: Senior Cold Store Administrator

Working Conditions:
- Contract Type: Permanent (6-month probationary period)
Qualifications & Skills Required:
- Education: Matric
- Computer Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
- Experience:
- At least 3 years of experience in a Warehouse or similar environment
- 3-5 years of Management experience
- Degree or diploma in Warehousing will be advantageous.
- SAP advantageous
- Advanced level on Excel / Word

Key responsibilities: OPERATIONS
• Scheduling of Cold store Operations, optimizing operational efficiency, including
order picking and dispatching / goods receipt/ production inputs and outputs /
housekeeping / etc.
• Focus on continuous improvement and writing SOP’s.
• Implement and manage equipment maintenance schedules.
• Manage cold store facilities maintenance.
• Ensure WMS system integrity in place.
• Responsibility for stock management and integrity.
• Managing the Cold Chain.
• Ensure that the service levels as part of the business are met and exceeded.
• Understanding of OHS for cold store.
STAFF
• Planning department shifts, personnel workload and managing clocking system
and weekly wage sign off.
• Manage staff and training
• IR and HR
• Train, develop and ensure competent staff compliment with sufficient cover.
COMPLIANCE
• Ensure food safety program is implemented and general housekeeping rules are
adhered to.
• Ensure OHSE standards are suitably maintained
• Ensure that all certifications and inspections are adequately covered and
passed.
• Ensure that ERP (SAP), disciplines are adhered to daily.
FINANCE
• Manage cold stores budget vs actual spending.
• Report on stock variances.
• Corresponding with all departments (trading / production / logistics / etc.).
• Ensure that all reporting, quotations and PO’s are timeously sourced, evaluated
and approved.
PLANT AND EQUIPMENT
• Ensure that all material handling equipment is maintained to meet operational
requirements and safety standards.
• Monitor and ensure that the refrigeration equipment is kept in perfect working
condition.
