Badsberg Wine Cellar, a well-established wine business based in Rawsonville, is looking for a General Manager to lead the organization whilst maintaining the mechanisms of an already successful and sustainable bulk and bottle wine business.

The successful candidate is a natural leader, with strong commercial and strategic acumen as well as excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills to drive strategic partnerships.

The successful candidate will report directly to the Board and will be responsible for the general management, productivity and profitability of the entire business, including, but not limited to the following key performance areas: *The development, together with the Board a business strategy, long-term operational plan and budget – Board engagement *Overall financial management *Increasing long-term shareholder value through the development of new development and strategic projects *Ensure regulatory compliance *Responsible for the development of the image of the Company - Industry representation at national & international level *Overall management of the sales & marketing strategy – market knowledge & insights into trends *Establishing and developing relationships with key cellar/company stakeholders and other stakeholders *Human resource management and development *Business development, including the expansion of existing markets and the establishment of new markets *Infrastructure and capacity planning *Business leadership and communication among producers and board members.

Essential qualifications, skills and experience:

• Relevant tertiary qualification;

• At least 8 years’ experience in general management in a medium-large business;

• Strong analytical skills with a good understanding of the Wine Industry;

• Good understanding of the bulkwine trade;

• Must be a strategic thinker and results-oriented person;

• Excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to work with a dynamic team;

• Excellent communication, negotiation and conflict management skills.

Starting date: 1 July 2026 or soon thereafter.
