Rustenberg Wine Estate, a family-owned historic estate in Stellenbosch, known for its internationally acclaimed wines, currently has the abovementioned position available.

The ideal candidate has excellent management, communication and customer service skills, and will report to the Business Manager.

The successful candidate will be responsible for (but not limited to):

• Management of the tasting room team, including wine ambassadors, supervisors, and support and cleaning staff.

• Manage the administration of the tasting room.

• Perform tastings and assist guests when needed.

• Assist with recruiting and training new staff when needed.

• Oversight of the tasting room and the standards of service.

• Managing and running the wine club/mailing list.

• Managing and promoting online sales.

• Entering and attending competitions and award shows.

• Attending consumer-facing wine shows and events.

• Hosting VIP tastings and tours.

• All other tasks related to this role.

Essential qualifications, skills and experience:

• A relevant qualification;

• Wine industry further qualifications such as WSET, Cape Wine Academy, etc.;

• Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar role in the wine industry;

• Experience running an existing wine club;

• A valid driver’s license and own reliable transport.
