Employer: Air Products South Africa (Pty) Limited

The Specialty Gas Operator will be responsible for the preparation and filling of High purity gases: Pure Products Gases (Medical, Argon, Nitrogen, Helium, CO2 and Oxygen) and two-component non-flammable batch mixtures. Key areas of responsibility for this role include but are not limited to:

1. Responsible for filling high-purity gases and two non-flammable batch mixtures;

2. Assisting with the receiving and dispatching of imported and non-standard Specialty Gas products;

3. Responsible for deputising in the Preparation/Painting area;

4. Responsible for safety and quality in the Freshline plant;

5. Ensuring that all the activities are carried out safely.

Candidate Requirements

1. A Matric with Maths & Science;

2. A minimum of at least 2 years of production environment experience in a gas/chemical or associated industry;

3. Basic knowledge of safety standards, ISO 9001, FSSC 22000, GMP/HACCP;

4. Must be physically fit and able-bodied to perform strenuous physical work;

5. Must have good organisational & communication skills;

6. Ability to produce written reports & complete procedural forms;

7. Be willing and able to work within the shift system and overtime when required;

8. Must be computer literate.
