Reporting to the Operations Director
Main Purpose of Position:
To manage all activities and staff in the stores and logistics departments
Key Responsibilities:
Stores:
Managing all stores staff which includes receiving, despatch, WIP issuing, pick slips and drivers
Establish and maintenance of all inventory responsibilities including consumables
To manage the efficient receiving and dispatching of stock to and from production
Prepare and issue stock requirements timeously
Ensure the stock is maintained in the correct bin locations and that actual quantities balance to the system
Maintain effective stock control at all times
Administer all paperwork as per procedure
Ensure minimum and maximum stock levels are maintained at all times
Manage the stock take preparation and actual count
Controlling and managing the vehicles and forklift
Ensuring product/material are suitably packaged and marked

Candidate Requirements
Required Minimum Qualifications:Matric supported by a relevant post matric qualification
Diploma/Degree in storekeeping, supply chain or logistics management
Required Minimum Experience:
Minimum 5 years experience within stores
Ability to add value, reduce costs and make business improvements
Strong technical and warehousing knowledge and understanding
Computer experience (MS Word and MS Excel)
Syspro experience in the WIP and Inventory modules
Recommended skills and qualities:
Problem identification and solution abilities
The ability to plan ahead
Strong oral and written communications skills
Highly service orientated
Be able to work in a team-based environment
Customer relations skills
Language: English, Afrikaans and Native tongue
Special requirements:
Working overtime
Own vehicle and valid license
Willingness to travel when required
Will be managing two divisions
Acquiring quotes for transport if requested by sales or the customers
