My client based close to Tulbagh in the Western Cape is looking for a dynamic Production Engineer to join their team

Minimum requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
Postgraduate qualification in Process Engineering and/or Lean Six Sigma Green Belt / Black Belt will be advantageous.
Minimum 5 years’ experience in process engineering, preferably in a manufacturing, food processing, or chemical industry environment.
Proven hands-on experience in process optimization, production line improvement, troubleshooting, and resolving process inefficiencies.
Demonstrated experience in applying lean manufacturing and cost-saving initiatives in an operational environment.
Experience working closely with production teams in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.
Experience in a shift or 24/7 manufacturing environment will be advantageous.

Process stability and reduction in recurring technical disruptions
Response time and effectiveness in troubleshooting production issues
Reduction in process-related downtime
OEE improvement in supported production areas
Waste, rework, giveaway, and yield improvement
Throughput and schedule attainment support
OTIF support through stable production performance
Product quality consistency and reduction in process-related defects
Food safety, GMP, HACCP, and compliance adherence
Accuracy and timeliness of technical reporting and follow-up actions
Implementation of sustainable corrective and preventive actions
Continuous improvement project delivery and measurable savings
Improvement in operator and supervisor technical capability on shift
Support for system uptime, process control, and standard adherence
