Job Title: Corporate Secretarial Officer
Location: Bedfordview, walking distance from Eastgate Mall / Bedford Centre Mall
Job Type: 2 year contract, full time.
The Corporate Secretarial Officer is responsible for providing administrative support and ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements for the company's corporate governance function.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and update corporate records, including shareholder records, and other related document
- Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, including filing annual reports and other corporate filings with regulatory authorities
- Coordinate with legal counsel, auditors, and other external advisors to ensure compliance with corporate governance requirements
- Collaborate with other departments, such as legal, finance, and human resources, to ensure alignment on corporate governance issues
- Stay current on developments in corporate governance and regulatory requirements, and recommend changes to policies and procedures as needed
- Register, maintain and update records with Department of Labour
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree / diploma in business administration or a related field
- Prior experience in corporate secretarial or governance roles is preferred
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and corporate governance software
- Knowledge of legal and regulatory requirements related to corporate governance
