CLINICAL NURSE PRACTITIONER

BASIC SALARY: R532 737 PER ANNUM ● REF NO: HS 11/26 ● ALL AREAS

Requirements:  

• Relevant tertiary qualification with preference in a Diploma/Degree as General Nurse and Midwife
• Registration as a Professional Nurse and Clinical Nurse Practitioner with the South African Nursing Council
• Three (3) to five (5) years’ relevant experience
• Computer literacy in MS Office.

Key performance areas: 

• Consult and provide preventative, curative and rehabilitative treatment/ health care to clients on various clinical specialities (communicable and non-communicable, childhood illnesses, pre- and post-natal care, including adult curative care)
• Perform specific administrative procedures associated with accurate record-keeping
• Provide a quality primary health care service
• Support and guide Professional Nurses, Enrolled Nurses / Auxiliary, Nursing Students and / or Voluntary Community Health Workers with the application of specific health care techniques and approaches
• Participate in the delivery of awareness and educational programmes on clinical approaches to safe and healthy living to the community
• Assist with the planning and implementation of policy, procedure, goals and objectives at facility level.
