SanLucar has a position available for a Maintenance Manager to lead the full mechanical-, fleet-, and maintenance function at their citrus production unit situated near Porterville in the Western Cape.

This role is best suited to an individual with strong experience and agricultural equipment expertise. The ideal candidate has proven leadership capabilities, coupled with excellent planning-, execution-, problem-solving-, and reporting skills.

The successful candidate will be responsible for: *Ensuring all vehicles and equipment are maintained *Implementing preventative maintenance schedules to reduce downtime *Diagnosing and repairing mechanical issues on agricultural machinery and implements *Managing the farm’s fleet, maintenance records, service logs, and compliance requirements *Leading and developing a team of five employees through mentorship and skills transfer *Managing and optimising the maintenance budget *Driving consistent reporting and ensuring timely execution of maintenance plans *Supporting production teams during critical farming cycles *All other tasks related to the role.

Essential qualifications, skills and experience:

• Relevant mechanical qualification (Trade Test/Red Seal certification preferred);

• 3–5 years’ post-qualification experience working with agricultural implements and farm machinery;

• Proven track record working with tractors, spray pumps, irrigation systems and various farm tools and production equipment;

• Good computer literacy (MS Office);

• Willingness to be on weekend duty and be available outside of normal working hours if required.
