Job Title: Safari Camp Chef

Location: Remote Safari Camp in the Busanga Plains

Reports to: Camp Manager

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and creative Chef to join our Safari Camp team. The Chef will be responsible for planning and preparing delicious meals for our guests in a remote safari camp setting. The ideal candidate will have a passion for cooking, a strong knowledge of culinary techniques, and the ability to work in a high-pressure environment.

Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and prepare meals for guests staying at the safari camp
- Develop creative and delicious menu options using fresh and local ingredients
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen area
- Manage inventory and order supplies as needed
- Adhere to food safety and sanitation regulations at all times
- Collaborate with camp staff to ensure a smooth dining experience for guests
- Assist with special events or activities as needed

Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Chef, preferably in a remote or outdoor setting
- Strong knowledge of culinary techniques and food safety standards
- Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Creative and flexible approach to menu planning
- Willingness to work long hours and weekends as needed
- Experience working in a multicultural environment is a plus

Education and Certification:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- certification from a recognized culinary school is preferred

Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
- Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs)
- Comfortable working in a hot and humid environment
