Introduction

This position will be based at the Kroondal Operations in Rusternburg.

Description

The purpose of this position is to continuously monitor production outputs and optimise process efficiency in line with plant capacity and sound processing principles.

Duties and Responsibilities

Ensure compliance with Minopex Health and Safety responsibilities.
Ensure that Process activities are integrated and coordinated.
Comply with provided systems, practices, methods, standards and procedures of the work.
Ensure the adherence to the specified process parameters within the respective sections.
Effective trouble shooting in case of deviations.
Supervise and optimise PGM and chrome processing operations to achieve production targets, recovery, grade, and cost objectives in line with metallurgical standards
Monitor plant performance and metallurgical KPIs, investigate deviations, and implement corrective actions to improve recovery, throughput, and plant stability
Identify, diagnose and analyse deviations and consult with the Supervisor / Management prior to implementing changes.
Provide support and advice to responsible Supervisors / Management.
Conduct research (literature or practical) on specific topics received from the Process Superintendent / Plant Manager or Client

Qualification Requirements

Matric (Grade 12) or an equivalent qualification registered at NQF Level 4, including relevant NATED qualifications such as the N3 Certificate.
A Bachelor’s Degree / Advanced Diploma in Metallurgy or Chemical Engineering

Experience and Skills Requirement

A minimum of 3–5 years’ supervisory experience in a processing environment
PGM and Chrome processing
English language proficiency
Computer literate in MS Office
Presentation skills
Time management skills
Attention to detail
Employee Relations and People Management skills
Supervisory skills
Financial management skills
Valid driver’s license code B, EB or C1
