Purpose of Position:
To provide operational and administrative support to the SHEQ Coordinator in maintaining Quality, Health & Safety, Environmental, and Food Safety standards across the business. The SHEQ Junior Coordinator assists with record-keeping, quality inspections, NCR administration, and routine SHEQ activities to ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and company requirements.
The incumbent, reporting to the SHEQ Coordinator, will be responsible for performing the following key tasks:
Routine support
Assist in management of QMS documentation.
Issuing of certificate of conformance and any other required legal documentation
Ensure document, filed and SHEQ records are properly maintained.
Update spreadsheets, reports and registers weekly.
Quality Support Responsibilities
Perform tasks in line with QMS procedures.
Assist with material checks/ test at various production stages.
Support the resolution of non – conformances by gathering information and samples.
File and update CoC documents, barcodes, internal and supplier NCR records.
Help prepare quality documentation for audits or customer requests.
Health & Safety, Environment Support
Conduct basic safety checks (fire equipment, signage, emergency exits and PPE inspections.
Weekly fire and forklift inspection sheets.
Assist in monthly first-aid box checks and replenishment.
Support SHEQ Coordinator in contract induction and visitor safety inductions.
Audit Support
Prepare department ISO files before audits.
Assist in housekeeping checks prior to audits.
File forms, policies and procedures in correct locations.
Support the SHEQ Coordinator during internal audits.
Customer & Supplier Support
Assist with completing supplier ad customer questionnaires.
Gather information for customer complaints or returns.
Support processing of credit notes, destruction notes and traceability documents.
Communicate basic follow -ups with suppliers for outstanding documents (under supervision)
Waste & Sustainability monitoring report
Assist with capturing waste reports (tonnage, cost, uplifting)
File waste disposal certificates

Candidate Requirements
To qualify for this position, you must have:Grade 12 (Matric)
A tertiary qualification in Administration
Basic understanding of manufacturing operations
Advantage: exposure to quality and production environments.
Advantage: basic understanding of quality management systems.
Preferred experience in a quality, SHEQ or manufacturing support role.
Understanding of the QMS documentation and non- conformance process
Strong attention to detail
Good communication (verbal and written)
Ability to follow procedure and instructions.
Basic understanding of technical product information (advantage)
Ability to work independently when required.
High level of integrity and confidentiality
