A leading client in the financial services industry is looking for a Development Manager & Senior .NET Engineer to join their team in a fully remote capacity. The company operates within the alternative payments ecosystem, providing solutions that empower cash consumers and connect them to the digital economy.
This role combines technical leadership with hands-on development, including overseeing development strategy, building C# APIs and applications, managing SQL Server environments, and supporting production systems while ensuring technology initiatives align with business goals.
Technology Strategy: Develop and implement the company’s technology strategy to support overall business goals and objectives.
Leadership: Lead and manage the development team, including hiring, training, and performance management.
Innovation: Drive innovation and identify new technologies that can enhance the company’s products and services.
Project Management: Work with project managers and the product team to plan, execute, and deliver development projects on time.
Collaboration: Partner closely with executives and other departments to align development initiatives with business needs.
Security: Ensure the security of the company’s software, infrastructure, and data.
Compliance: Maintain compliance with relevant policies, regulations, and industry standards.
Performance Monitoring: Monitor and evaluate the performance of the development team and recommend improvements where necessary.
Senior Development: Act as a senior developer of C# APIs and applications, contributing to the design, development, and maintenance of software solutions.
SQL Server Management: Assist in managing and maintaining SQL Server environments to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
Production Support: Handle first-level production support queries and provide timely solutions to technical issues.
Reporting: Provide regular updates to the executive team on the status of technology initiatives and projects.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
8+ years of software development experience, with strong expertise in .NET / C# development.
3+ years of leadership or team management experience in a development environment.
Proven experience designing and developing APIs, web applications, and scalable systems using .NET technologies.
Strong experience with Microsoft SQL Server, including database design, performance optimization, and maintenance.
Experience with software architecture, system design, and development best practices.
