💼External Technical Sales Representative

Our client is looking for a driven and technically skilled External Technical Sales Representative to join their team. This role is ideal for someone with a strong technical background who also enjoys building client relationships, identifying opportunities, and driving sales growth. The successful candidate will play an important role in providing technical solutions to clients while supporting sales targets and business development initiatives.

Their team collaborates closely with engineers, consultants, contractors, and technical specialists to ensure that projects are supported with the right products, expertise, and service.

📍Location: Garden Route
💰Salary: R20 000 – R45 000 (CTC) + Commission
🕰️Working Hours: Monday – Friday 07:30 – 16:30
🪑Available Positions: 2

Key Responsibilities:
· Sales & Client Engagement: Achieve monthly sales targets jointly agreed on by management.
· Actively develop new business opportunities and maintain existing relationships.
· Conduct site visits to meet with existing and potential clients to identify their technical needs and project requirements.
· Provide professional product advice and recommend suitable solutions based on client specifications.
· Promote and sell new products and inform customers of specials
· Planning & Coordination:
Handle pricing in terms of customers category and managers instructions
Check customer credit worthiness before generating orders
Coordinate customers with methods of communication and procedures depending on order urgency
Ensure relevant sale documentation is given to correct departments for processing as per branch procedures
· Customer Service:
Telephonically keep in contact with clients restricted to the branch premises.
Assist with urgent deliveries when requested by management
Ensure that all samples and goods delivered by yourself is always accompanied by official documentation        · Sales:
Attend weekly sales meetings
· Tendering process:
Handing in tenders and attend tender openings
Report back to management regarding the tender as soon as possible
Complete tender documents where necessary by obtaining best prices and with managers authorization
· General: 
Provide feedback to management
Expediting of priority orders
Ensuring brochure stands are fullKeeping displays neat and tidy
Assist with stock take when required
Ensure warehouse including shelves and floor are kept clean
Ensure that security regulations are adhered to at all times

Job Requirements:
· Trade Test.
· Minimum 5 years’ experience within a technical environment, preferably involving municipal or energy-related projects.
· Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel regularly for client visits.
· Proven sales experience with K-8 program in a technical or engineering background.
· Knowledge of municipal infrastructure or Eskom-related environments will be advantageous.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
· Knowledge of tender processes and documentation.
· Ability to work independently and manage client relationships effectively.

Ons kliënt is op soek na ’n gedrewe en tegnies vaardige Eksterne Tegniese Verkoopsverteenwoordiger om by hul span aan te sluit. Hierdie rol is ideaal vir iemand met ’n sterk tegniese agtergrond wat ook daarvan hou om kliënteverhoudings te bou, nuwe geleenthede te identifiseer en verkope te bevorder. Die suksesvolle kandidaat sal ’n belangrike rol speel in die verskaffing van tegniese oplossings aan kliënte terwyl verkoopsdoelwitte en besigheidsontwikkeling ondersteun word.

Hul span werk nou saam met ingenieurs, konsultante, kontrakteurs en tegniese spesialiste om te verseker dat projekte ondersteun word met die regte produkte, kundigheid en diens.

Hoof Verantwoordelikhede:

· Verkope:
Bereik maandelikse teikens soos gesamentlik deur bestuur ooreengekom
Fisies bel bestaande en potensieel nuwe kliënte om hul behoeftes en vereistes vas te stel
Genereer verkope en registreer die orde besonderhede of ontvang die orde op ’n amptelike bestelvorm
Wees in staat om kliënte te adviseer en die maatskappy se produk aan te beveel
Voer verwante verkope uit deur alternatiewe voor te stel
Bevorder en verkoop nuwe produkte en informeer kliënte van spesiale aanbiedinge
· Beplanning:
Hanteer prysbepaling volgens bestuur se instruksies
Voordat die bestellings gegenereer word, kontroleer die kliënt se kredietwaardigheid
Volg korrekte prosedures afhangend van bestelling dringendheid
Sodra die verkoop in die rekenaarsisteem gegenereer is, verseker dat die relevante afskrifte aan die korrekte afdelings gegee word vir verwerking volgens tak prosedures
· Kliëntediens:
Telephonies in kontak bly met kliënte as hulle om een of ander rede beperk is tot die tak se fasiliteite
Help met dringende aflewerings wanneer bestuur versoek
Verseker dat alle goedere wat deur jou afgelewer word, altyd vergesel word van amptelike dokumentasie
· Verkoopvergaderings:
Weklikse verkoopvergaderings bywoon
· Tenders:
Inhandiging van tenders en deelname aan tenderopeenkomste
Verslag terug aan bestuur oor die tender so gou as moontlik
Voltooi tenderdokumente waar nodig deur die beste pryse te bekom en met bestuur se goedkeuring
· Sekuriteit:
Verseker dat sekuriteitsregulasies te alle tye nagekom word
· Algemeen:
Help bestuur met addisionele take wat billik en redelik is
Terugvoer aan area-bestuurders
Verspoediging van prioriteitbestellings
Verseker dat brosjure-stande vol is
Hou vertoon-eenhede netjies en opgeruimd
Help met voorraadopnames wanneer benodig
Die pakhuis, insluitend rakke en vloere, moet skoon gehou word

Pos Vereistes:
· Handelssertifikaat (Trade Test).
· Minimum 5 jaar ondervinding binne ’n tegniese omgewing, verkieslik met munisipale of energieverwante projekte.
· Bewese verkoopsagtergrond binne ’n tegniese of ingenieursverwante veld.
· Geldige bestuurslisensie en bereidheid om gereeld te reis vir kliëntbesoeke.
· Kennis van munisipale infrastruktuur of Eskom-verwante omgewings sal voordelig wees.
· Vaardigheid in Microsoft Office programme.
· Ondervinding met verkoopsprogramme naamlik K-8.
