Job Purpose
The Hands-On Project Manager is responsible for planning, executing, and delivering mining and construction projects safely, on time, within scope, and within budget. The role requires active on-site involvement in project execution, supervision of contractors and teams, and coordination of engineering, procurement, and construction activities.
 
Key Responsibilities
Project Planning & Execution
Manage the full project lifecycle from concept, feasibility, planning, execution, commissioning, and close-out.
Develop project schedules, milestones, and deliverables.
Prepare project scope documents, budgets, and resource plans.
Coordinate engineering, procurement, and construction activities.
Site Management (Hands-On)
Provide on-site leadership and technical oversight of construction and mining operations.

Minimum Requirements
Qualifications
Degree or Diploma in:
Civil Engineering
Mechanical Engineering
Construction Management
Mining Engineering or related field
Project Management qualification (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) advantageous.
Experience
Minimum 5–10 years experience in mining or heavy construction projects.
Proven experience managing large-scale site-based projects.
Experience in EPC, infrastructure, mining plants, pipelines, or heavy civil works.
Demonstrated experience managing multidisciplinary teams.
Technical Knowledge
Strong knowledge of:
Mining and construction methodologies
Engineering drawings and specifications
Construction materials and equipment
Contract management (FIDIC, NEC, or JBCC)Project planning tools (MS Project or Primavera).
