Our client, a family vineyard situated between Worcester and Villiersdorp, is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Warehouse Assistant with strong organisational skills, a proactive work ethic, and the ability to handle stock accurately, while maintaining high standards of care, safety, and efficiency.

The incumbent will be responsible for (but not limited to): *Safeguard and manage warehouse inventory through regular and ad hoc stock counts *Maintain accurate stock records and track all inventory movements *Identify and report discrepancies, breakages, or losses, and assist with reconciliation *Apply FIFO and FEFO stock rotation to protect product quality and value *Handle, prepare, and package wines, including limited-release boxes *Receive and dispatch goods safely, including loading and off-loading deliveries *Operate warehouse equipment (including forklifts with a valid licence) and perform basic checks *Maintain a clean, organised, and safe warehouse environment *Manage stock transfers between operational areas and assist with local deliveries when required *Follow company policies, procedures, and safety protocols to protect company assets *All other tasks related to this position.

Essential qualifications, skills and experience:
• A relevant qualification in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or Warehouse Operations (not required, but will be advantageous);
• Previous warehouse or stock control experience, preferably within the wine, beverage, or FMCG industry;
• Experience with inventory management and stock rotation principles (FIFO/FEFO);
• Understanding of workplace health and safety practices;
• Forklift licence preferred (or willingness to obtain);
• Valid driver’s licence advantageous for local deliveries.
