KAMOA COPPER SA is looking for a Specialised Artisan, Mechanical & Fitting

The Kamoa Copper Mine is a joint venture between Ivanhoe Mines (39.6%), Zijin Mining Group (39.6%), Crystal River Global Limited (0.8%) and the Government of the Democratic Republic of Congo (20%). It's a very large, near-surface, flat-lying, stratiform copper deposit with adjacent prospective exploration areas within the Central African Copperbelt, at approximately 25 kilometres west of the town of Kolwezi and about 270 kilometres west of the provincial capital of Lubumbashi.

To conduct maintenance in the Concentrator for the benefit of mining continuity. The incumbent tasks a small group of Artisans and Assistants and the scope of this role includes maintenance of the following processes: flotation, decantation, dewatering, filtration, bagging and air plant (compressors and blowers), and both scheduled and emergency maintenance

You will have the following:

• Internationally recognised Trade Certificate in Mechanical Fitting qualification
• A diploma in Mechanical Engineering is an added advantage
• 10+ years' relevant experience as an Artisan, Mechanical Fitting within a heavy industrial application or mining/mineral processing context.
• Demonstrated experience in maintenance work related to the type of equipment used in comminution process circuits (crushing, milling/grinding, high pressure grinding), flotation, thickening and filtration process circuits.
• Experience in the mining environment highly advantageous.
• Fluency in English is mandatory.

Technical Skills should include:

• Ball Mills (Inspection, alignment, and maintenance) Hydraulic Systems (Troubleshooting)
• High Pressure Grinding Rolls (HPGR) (Roller changeouts, bearing maintenance).
• Cone Crushers (Bowl and mantle replacement, setting adjustments)
• Conveyor Belts (Pulley alignments, belt splicing)
• Total Fluid Management.  Concentrate Filters (Larox), Air Compressors and Air Blowers Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (JDE and STG
