A well-known NPO is seeking a detail-oriented Debtors Controller to join their finance team.
This role requires an organised and proactive individual who can manage the full accounts receivable function, from invoicing through to collections, while maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with internal financial procedures.
You will play an important role in supporting financial operations, maintaining debtor accounts, and ensuring payments are received within agreed terms.
Minimum Requirements:
Matric / Grade 12 (essential)
Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Debtors Controller
Experience working within a Non-Profit Organisation (NPO) environment (Preferred and highly beneficial)
Experience working on Sage Accounting software
Strong Microsoft Excel skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills
High attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
Duties and Responsibilities:
Accounts Receivable Management:
Manage the full debtor’s function including invoicing, collections, and reconciliation of accounts.
Follow up on outstanding payments and maintain accurate debtor records.
Manage bad debt provisions where necessary.
Customer Liaison:
Communicate with customers regarding invoices, payments, and account queries.
Provide customers with updated vendor documentation where required.
Financial Administration:
Maintain accurate filing and documentation systems.
Ensure financial records are updated and compliant with internal financial procedures.
Assist with maintaining treasury compliance documentation.
Operational Support:
Provide operational support within the finance team where required.
Assist with administrative tasks and general office support when necessary.
