Job Description:We are currently seeking a motivated and experienced Internal Sales Consultant to join our Cape Town branch based in Epping. The successful candidate will support internal sales operations while working closely with external sales representatives in the industrial chemicals sector.This role is best suited to a candidate with a strong background in chemical sales, particularly within industrial or manufacturing environments. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of chemical products and applications, combined with excellent customer service and administrative capabilities.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

Handle internal sales and assist customers telephonically and via email
Process customer orders accurately and efficiently using Accpac
Prepare quotations and proactively follow up to convert opportunities into sales
Provide product advice, specifically relating to industrial chemicals and applications
Support external sales representatives dealing with industrial chemical products
Build and maintain strong customer relationships while delivering excellent service
Liaise with warehouse/dispatch teams to ensure accurate and timely order fulfilment
Assist in achieving and exceeding internal sales targets and performance goals
Respond to customer queries regarding product specifications, pricing, and availability

Requirements:

Minimum of 5+ years’ experience in sales within the chemical industry
Proven experience selling industrial chemicals, particularly into manufacturing environments
Familiarity with products such as adhesives, anti-foams, emulsions, foam control agents, and silicone fluids (advantageous)
Strong knowledge of chemical product applications and customer use-cases
Experience supporting or working alongside external sales representatives
Proficiency in Accpac or similar ERP systems
Strong administrative, organisational, and communication skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced, target-driven environment
