Bookkeeper needed with my client in the Financial Sector in Fourways.

Minimum requirements:

Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting (BCom) or equivalent degree
Minimum of 3–5 years’ proven experience in bookkeeping and payroll, preferably within an accounting firm environment
Full bookkeeping function and to be able to work on multiple client books
Proficiency in accounting software: Xero, Sage Online, QuickBooks, and MS Excel
Proficiency in payroll software: SimplePay, VIP, and Sage Pastel Payroll
Strong understanding of accounting principles, payroll legislation, and statutory compliance requirements
Excellent organizational and time-management skills
Maintain accurate financial records for multiple clients, including capturing transactions, reconciling accounts, and preparing ledgers.
Process accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments and collections
Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts
Prepare and submit VAT, PAYE, UIF, and other statutory returns
Manage payroll processing for clients, ensuring accuracy and compliance with legislation
Administer employee records, leave, and statutory deductions
Support accountants with month-end and year-end closing procedures
Generate financial and payroll reports for client review
Maintain filing systems and documentation in compliance with audit and regulatory standards
Liaise with clients to resolve queries and provide bookkeeping and payroll support
