Seeking a dynamic and experienced Front of House Manager to lead our audience services, hospitality operations, and venue management. This role ensures a high-quality experience for all production patrons while supporting the successful execution of productions and events.
Key Responsibilities
Operations & Guest Experience
Develop and implement front of house strategies, policies, and procedures.
Ensure smooth coordination and presentation of theatre shows and events.
Deliver an exceptional and welcoming experience for theatre patrons.
Maintain high standards across theatres, foyers, and public spaces.
Control and manage patron access across all venues.
Oversee all functions associated with theatre venues and foyers.
Team & Staff Management
Recruit, schedule, and manage front of house staff.
Manage contractors and sub-contractors.
Lead staff development, performance management, and appraisals.
Financial & Administrative Management
Manage departmental finances and revenue from sales.
Prepare statistics and performance reports for senior management.
Manage inventory and departmental resources.
Event & Production Coordination
Support event planning and ensure effective show execution.
Work closely with the Artistic and Production teams on staged performances.
Coordinate hospitality riders for stakeholders and performers.
Business Operations
Manage restaurant front and back operations aligned with modern restaurant standards.
Plan weekly activities, assign responsibilities, and monitor performance targets.
Conduct weekly monitoring, monthly reporting, and quarterly performance reviews.
Operational Areas
The role oversees multiple operational units, including:
Bars
Manage the operation of six bars to maximize revenue.
Ticketing
Oversee box office ticket sales for theatre performances.
Ushering
Ensure patrons are safely guided and assisted throughout the theatre.
Hospitality
Provide hospitality services to internal and external stakeholders.
Partnerships
Build and maintain strong internal and external stakeholder relationships.
🎓 Minimum Requirements
BCom Degree in Business Management or equivalent qualification.
Minimum 3 years management experience.
