We are looking for an experienced Area Operations Manager with leadership skills; excellent communication skills and most importantly knowledge and experience of how to manage employees and the store operations, within a retail restaurant environment that is highly focused on excellence and above average service delivery to customers and stakeholders.

In this role you will be responsible for: Direct and coordinate operational activities involved in Nu Health stores across the Cape Town region, personally or through subordinate Store Manager / Supervisors.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

-      Keeping region stores on budget in terms of sales and controllable cost

-      Ensuring administration systems in all applicable regional stores are used and up to date

-      Provide National Operations Manager with a consolidated report of financial analysis and other reports

-      Ensure that completion of all the necessary audits in specific region

-      Checks store rosters ensuring that all fall in line with budgets

-       All BCEA and HR practices are followed at store level with consultation from the HR Department.

-       Identify training needs in region and ensure that training needs are properly addressed.

-       Follows up on all customer complaints and ensures customer is retained.

-       Conduct regular meetings with area managers to discuss the performance of stores

-      Networking with any strategic partner in region

-      Ensuring that all stores in region have maintenance support

-      Liaise with suppliers regarding maintenance schedules and the identification of equipment concern areas

-      Communicate supplier stock holding and quality control issues to supply chain manager

-      Ensure that all the stores in region are 100% operational

-      Coordinate the implementation of marketing campaigns including new openings in region

-      Ensures the flawless execution of all marketing campaigns at store level

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Will manage subordinates within the business who will supervise employees in the stores in an assigned area. Will be responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these units. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
