TCOE SALARY COMMENCING FROM R1,307,905 PER ANNUM ● REF NO: WS 38/26 ● WATER CITY, BELLVILLE

Requirements:   

• BEng or BSc (Eng) degree in Civil or Chemical Engineering
• Preferred BEng or BSc (Eng) degree in Civil or Chemical Engineering with a Masters qualification in water treatment 
• Eight (8) years or more relevant post-graduate experience 
• Preferred eight (8) years or more relevant experience post-registration
• Professional registration (PrEng) with the Engineering Council of South Africa, or equivalent body recognised by the Washington Accord 
• Computer literate
• A valid Code EB driver’s licence
• Must be physically fit.

Key performance areas:  

• Oversee complex infrastructure and asset management projects, focus on the preparation of engineering designs, specifications, and drawings.
• Initiation and implementation of water treatment optimisation Investigations.
• Providing water treatment process support and applying whole life cycle asset management for operations and maintenance
• Manage treatment investigations with internal and external units 
• Manage the communication and relationships between various stakeholders
• Explore and implement new ways of delivering services that contribute to the improvement of municipal processes
• Draft correspondence of a more complex and involved nature to facilitate the functioning of the Branch, including preparation of capital and operating estimates within a planned project, and manage and control expenditure against the approved budget allocations.
