Senior Quantity Surveyor CIVILS Project-Based | Large Civil & Infrastructure Work

THE ROLE
This is a senior commercial leadership role for an experienced Civil Quantity Surveyor with deep exposure to infrastructure projects. The successful candidate will manage the full commercial and contractual function on-site, ensuring profitability, compliance and accurate financial control across complex civil works.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

• Degree / Diploma in Quantity Surveying
• 10+ years’ on-site experience in civil engineering projects (roads, bridges, structures)
• Valid driver’s licence and own vehicle
• Willingness to travel to project sites

TECHNICAL & COMMERCIAL EXPERTISE

• Contract administration under FIDIC, NEC and GCC
• Strong understanding of COLTO specifications, BOQs, guarantees, claims and payment terms
• Advanced knowledge of civil construction methodologies, sequencing and progress measurement
• Solid experience in reinforced concrete, earthworks, layer works, asphalt, stormwater and materials
• Proficiency in CCS Candy and MS Excel (AutoCAD advantageous)
• Strong financial awareness, analytical thinking and commercial judgement

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Prepare and manage project budgets, forecasts and cost reports
• Measure, value and certify work done (progress claims & final accounts)
• Administer main contracts and subcontracts
• Manage variations, claims and disputes
• Oversee procurement of materials and subcontractor services
• Conduct site measurements and progress verifications
• Support tender evaluations and subcontractor appointments
• Provide commercial input into project planning and execution
• Assist with financial close-out and handover documentation
