Construction Support Manager

Our client is looking for a driven and professional Construction Support Manager within the Built Environment to assist in managing construction projects, contractor performance, and financial risk. This role is ideal for a motivated professional who is ready to take ownership of projects while working under the mentorship and supervision of a Senior Construction Support Manager.

Key Responsibilities:
· Project Management: Manage supported construction projects from initiation through to completion.
· Contractor Performance: Monitor contractor financial performance, payment cycles, and budget exposure.
· Construction Progress Monitoring: Track project progress against approved construction programmes.
· Risk Management: Identify and manage contractual, financial, and delivery risks on projects.
· Portfolio Support: Assist the Senior Construction Support Manager in managing an existing project portfolio.
· Business Development Support: Contribute to sourcing and securing new projects through industry engagement and relationship building.
· Contract Administration: Participate in or support administration of construction contracts such as JBCC, GCC, NEC or similar.
· Financial Monitoring: Assist in monitoring contractor payments, valuation cycles, certifications, and project budgets.
· Site Coordination: Support construction site coordination, delivery tracking, and project progress monitoring.
· Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with contractors, subcontractors, and project teams within active construction environments.

Job Requirements:
· Qualification in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related Built Environment field.
· Must be eligible for professional registration with SACPCMP, SACQSP, or ECSA.
· 3 – 6 years relevant experience within the construction industry.
· Demonstrated ability to build industry relationships and contribute to securing projects will be advantageous.
· Understanding of construction contracts such as JBCC, GCC, NEC or similar.

Hoof Verantwoordelikhede:
· Projekbestuur: Bestuur ondersteunde konstruksieprojekte vanaf aanvang tot voltooiing.
· Kontrakteur Prestasie: Monitor kontrakteur finansiële prestasie, betalingsiklusse en begrotingsblootstelling.
· Konstruksie Vordering: Monitor projekvordering teen goedgekeurde konstruksieprogramme.
· Risikobestuur: Identifiseer en bestuur kontraktuele, finansiële en afleweringsrisiko’s op projekte.
· Portefeulje Ondersteuning: Help die Senior Konstruksie Ondersteuningsbestuurder met die bestuur van ’n bestaande projekportefeulje.
· Besigheidsontwikkeling: Dra by tot die verkryging van nuwe projekte deur industrie-betrokkenheid en verhoudingsbou.
· Kontrakadministrasie: Neem deel aan of ondersteun administrasie van konstruksiekontrakte soos JBCC, GCC, NEC of soortgelyk.
· Finansiële Monitering: Help met die monitering van kontrakteurbetalings, waardasie siklusse, sertifisering en projekbegrotings.
· Terrein Koördinering: Ondersteun konstruksieterrein koördinering, afleweringopsporing en projekvorderingsmonitering.
· Belanghebbende Samewerking: Werk nou saam met kontrakteurs, subkontrakteurs en projekspanne binne aktiewe konstruksie-omgewings.

Pos Vereistes:
· Kwalifikasie in  Quantity Surveying, Konstruksiebestuur, Siviele Ingenieurswese of ’n verwante Bou-omgewing veld.
· Moet in aanmerking kom vir professionele registrasie by SACPCMP, SACQSP of ECSA.
· 3 – 6 jaar relevante ondervinding binne die konstruksiebedryf.
· Bewese vermoë om industrie-verhoudings te bou en by te dra tot die verkryging van projekte sal voordelig wees.
· Begrip van konstruksiekontrakte soos JBCC, GCC, NEC of soortgelyk.
