Role Purpose
As a Business Development Sales Executive at PayJustNow, your primary responsibility is to identify, engage, and onboard new merchants to offer our Buy Now, Pay Later (BNPL) and other payment products to their consumers. You will play a key role in expanding our merchant network and driving adoption of our payment solutions across various retail sectors.
Core Responsibilities
Merchant Acquisition
- Prospect and qualify new merchant leads across various retail sectors.
- Pitch PayJustNow’s value proposition and product suite to potential merchant partners.
- Manage the full sales cycle — from initial outreach to contract negotiation and onboarding.
Onboarding & Enablement
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure a smooth onboarding experience for new merchants.
- Provide guidance and support to merchants during the setup and integration process.
Sales Performance & Reporting
- Meet and exceed sales targets and KPIs.
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities and pipeline progress in CRM systems.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Product, Marketing, Risk, and Operations to support merchant onboarding and success.
- Share merchant feedback and insights to inform product development and service improvements.
- Number of new merchants onboarded
- Time to activation and first transaction
- Merchant satisfaction and feedback
- Achievement of monthly and quarterly sales targets
- Quality and completeness of onboarding documentation
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Business
- 3+ years' of sales or account management experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
