Bill of Materials (BOM) ClerkDurban, KwaZulu-NatalR 15 000 - R 20 000 CTC A well-established manufacturing company supplying products to the retail sector is looking for a detail-oriented Bill of Materials (BOM) Clerk to join their team.

Minimum requirements:

Matric with Mathematics
Engineering background or qualification will be advantageous
3 Years of experience as a BOM Clerk, Materials Clerk, or in a similar role will be advantageous
Strong computer literacy with MS Office, especially Excel
Experience working on ERP or MRP systems (SAP Business One preferred)
Strong analytical and mathematical ability

Key Responsibilities:

Creating and maintaining accurate Bills of Materials (BOMs) for products and sub-assemblies
Updating BOMs to reflect engineering changes, design updates, or material substitutions
Working closely with engineering, production, and purchasing teams to ensure material requirements are clearly defined
Capturing and retrieving information within the company’s ERP or MRP system
Investigating and resolving BOM discrepancies or material-related issues
Identifying root causes of discrepancies and implementing corrective actions
Preparing and maintaining documentation relating to material control, inventory records, and purchase orders
Ensuring all records and data are accurately maintained and easily accessible
