Job OverviewA reputable hotel/guesthouse in Durbanville is seeking a reliable and skilled Maintenance Worker to ensure that the property, facilities, and equipment are maintained to a high standard. The successful candidate will be responsible for general repairs, preventative maintenance, and ensuring a safe and well-maintained environment for guests and staff.

Key Responsibilities

Perform general maintenance and repairs (plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, tiling, etc.)
Conduct routine inspections of rooms, public areas, and back-of-house facilities
Attend to maintenance requests from guests and management promptly
Maintain swimming pool, garden areas, and exterior spaces (if applicable)
Ensure all equipment and tools are kept in good working condition
Perform preventative maintenance to reduce breakdowns and disruptions
Report major faults or safety hazards to management
Assist with setup for events or functions where required
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations

Minimum Requirements

Proven experience in general maintenance (hotel/guesthouse experience advantageous)
Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical systems, and general building repairs
Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems independently
Physically fit and able to perform manual tasks
Own transport (preferred due to location)
Ability to work flexible hours when required
