Lead and manage the full procurement function for the gold mining operation, ensuring uninterrupted supply of goods and services critical to plant and mining activities.
Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned to operational requirements, cost control objectives, and company policies.
Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to secure competitive pricing, favourable contract terms, and reliable service delivery.
Manage supplier performance, including SLAs, quality standards, delivery timelines, and compliance with mining regulations.
Oversee tender processes, contract administration, and vendor onboarding in accordance with governance and compliance frameworks.
Control and monitor procurement budgets, analyze expenditure trends, and implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality or safety.
Ensure procurement processes comply with mining legislation, internal audit standards, and risk management protocols.
Collaborate closely with engineering, plant, finance, and operations teams to forecast material requirements and optimize inventory levels.
Lead and develop the procurement team, driving accountability, performance management, and continuous improvement.
Maintain accurate procurement records, reporting metrics, and management dashboards to support strategic decision-making.

Relevant qualification in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Logistics, or related field.
Minimum 5–8 years’ procurement experience within mining or heavy industrial environments.
Strong knowledge of mining equipment, plant spares, consumables, and contractor management.
Proven experience in contract negotiation and supplier relationship management.
Sound understanding of cost control, budgeting, and compliance in a regulated environment.
Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP or similar) and MS Office.
Strong leadership, negotiation, and analytical skills.
