Lead and manage the mine’s IT department, ensuring reliable, secure, and efficient technology infrastructure to support plant, mining, and administrative operations.
Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of IT systems including networks, servers, cybersecurity, data storage, backup systems, and disaster recovery plans.
Ensure high availability of critical operational systems such as ERP (e.g., SAP), SCADA interfaces, production monitoring systems, and communication networks.
Develop and enforce IT governance policies, cybersecurity protocols, and compliance standards in line with company and regulatory requirements.
Manage IT budgets, capital expenditure (CAPEX), and operational expenditure (OPEX), ensuring cost-effective technology investments.
Coordinate with external service providers and vendors, negotiating contracts and monitoring service level agreements (SLAs).
Support digital transformation initiatives, automation projects, and system integrations to enhance operational efficiency and reporting accuracy.
Lead, mentor, and develop the IT team, ensuring high performance and effective service delivery across the mine.
Provide strategic input to executive management on technology risks, infrastructure planning, and future system requirements.
Ensure business continuity through robust backup systems, cybersecurity threat management, and incident response planning.

Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
Minimum 5–10 years’ IT experience, with at least 3–5 years in a management role within mining or heavy industry.
Strong knowledge of network infrastructure, cybersecurity, server environments, cloud solutions, and ERP systems.
Experience supporting operational technologies (OT) such as SCADA and industrial control systems is advantageous.
Proven experience managing IT budgets and external service providers.
Strong leadership, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
