    🚀 We’re Hiring: Onsite Support & Installation Technician – Lesaka Merchant Division (Hospitality), Port Elizabeth

    Lesaka Merchant Division (Hospitality) is expanding our Installation & Support team, and we’re looking for a committed Onsite Support & Installation Technician to join us in Port Elizabeth.

    The successful candidate will report to the Area Manager (Eastern Cape) and will play a vital role in ensuring seamless POS and Payment system installations, outstanding onsite technical support, and confident client handovers across the region.

    This is an excellent opportunity for a hands‑on, customer‑focused technician who enjoys fieldwork, technical problem‑solving, and ensuring clients receive a smooth go‑live experience.


    💼 What You’ll Do

    As an Onsite Support & Installation Technician, your responsibilities will include:

    ✨ Installation & Configuration
    • Installing, configuring, and testing POS/Payment hardware (terminals, printers, scanners, cash drawers, network equipment)
    • Configuring network and system settings (BIOS, IP addresses, printer paths, etc.)
    • Loading and configuring POS client software
    • Ensuring every system is fully operational before handover

    ✨ Onsite Support & Troubleshooting
    • Providing onsite support for escalated technical issues
    • Delivering after‑hours support on a rotational standby basis
    • Conducting thorough onsite testing and providing user orientation during go‑live

    ✨ Client Handover & Documentation
    • Maintaining accurate installation records, service checklists, and sign‑offs
    • Ensuring clients are comfortable and fully operational on new systems
    • Communicating client feedback, risks, or concerns to internal teams

    ✨ Team & Operational Support
    • Participating in internal training and technical refreshers
    • Assisting with major upgrades and rollout projects
    • Maintaining company‑issued tools and adhering to safety and compliance standards


    ✔️ Minimum Requirements

    To be considered, you must have:

    🔹 Grade 12 / Matric
    🔹 A+ and/or N+ certification (or equivalent experience)
    🔹 Minimum 1 year of IT hardware support or onsite installation experience
    🔹 Experience with POS, retail, or hospitality systems (advantageous)
    🔹 Strong technical troubleshooting abilities
    🔹 Basic networking knowledge (Ethernet, routers, switches, IP addressing)
    🔹 Good communication and client‑interaction skills
    🔹 Ability to work independently, including after hours
    🔹 Willingness to travel long distances
    🔹 Own reliable vehicle

      • Positive contribution to rollout and upgrade projects

    6. Asset & Tool Management
      • Proper care and accountability for company‑issued tools, equipment, and hardware
