Vacancy Details

Perform installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and equipment within the gold plant and mining areas.
Conduct fault-finding and diagnostics on motors, transformers, switchgear, MCCs, VSDs, PLC systems, and control circuits.
Ensure optimal performance and availability of plant electrical equipment to minimize downtime and production losses.
Carry out preventative and planned maintenance in accordance with maintenance schedules and statutory requirements.
Execute high-voltage (HV) and low-voltage (LV) switching in compliance with safety procedures and legal standards.
Interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and technical manuals to ensure accurate installations and repairs.
Support breakdown response activities and implement corrective actions to prevent recurring failures.
Ensure full compliance with Mine Health and Safety Act (MHSA), lock-out procedures, and company safety policies.
Maintain accurate maintenance records and provide feedback for continuous improvement initiatives.
Collaborate with mechanical, instrumentation, and production teams to support plant reliability and efficiency.

Grade 12 (Matric).
Recognized Trade Test Certificate (Red Seal Electrician).
Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in mining, mineral processing, or heavy industrial environment.
Strong knowledge of PLC systems, drives, instrumentation, and plant electrical systems.
Experience in fault-finding on production and processing equipment.
Valid driver’s license.
Willingness to work shifts and standby as required.
