Business Development Specialist

Our client is seeking a driven and results-oriented Business Development Specialist who thrives on building relationships and closing opportunities. In this role, you will focus on growing revenue from existing clients while creating new business opportunities weekly through active outreach and networking.

This is a target-driven, relationship-focused role with excellent opportunities for growth through active outreach and business development.

📍 Location: Honeydew, Roodepoort
💰 Salary: R20,000 – R30,000 + Commission, Company Car, Fuel Card
📈 Available Positions: 1
👉 Start Date: As soon as possible
⏰ Working Hours: Monday – Friday 07:30 – 16:30

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and nurture relationships with high-profile clients

  • Drive revenue growth and consistently exceed monthly sales targets

  • Research market activity and identify new opportunities in the retail industry

  • Develop and manage outreach programs to engage clients

  • Build a database of contacts using software tools

  • Conduct email and call campaigns to prospects and existing clients

  • Schedule and lead introductory calls with new clients

  • Collaborate with internal teams (marketing, sales, accounts)

Job Requirements

  • Matric (a degree or diploma will be advantageous)

  • 2–5 years’ experience in business development, sales, or prospecting (preferably in the paint industry)

  • Experience using CRM systems

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office

  • Excellent communication, relationship-building, and problem-solving skills

  • Tech-savvy and creative

Hoofverantwoordelikhede

  • Bou en koester verhoudings met hoëprofiel kliënte

  • Dryf inkomste-groei en oortref maandelikse verkoopsdoelwitte

  • Ondersoek markaktiwiteite en identifiseer nuwe geleenthede in die kleinhandelbedryf

  • Ontwikkel en bestuur uitreikprogramme om kliënte te betrek

  • Bou ’n databasis van kontakte met behulp van sagteware-instrumente

  • Voer e-pos- en telefoonveldtogte na voornemende en bestaande kliënte uit

  • Skeduleer en lei bekendstellingsgesprekke met nuwe kliënte

  • Werk nou saam met interne spanne (bemarking, verkope, rekeninge)

Posvereistes

  • Matriek (’n graad of diploma is ’n voordeel)

  • 2–5 jaar ondervinding in besigheidsontwikkeling, verkope of prospektering (verkieslik in die verfbedryf)

  • Ervaring met CRM-stelsels

  • Vaardig in Microsoft Office

  • Uitstekende kommunikasie-, verhoudingsbou- en probleemoplossingsvaardighede

  • Tegnologies vaardig en kreatief
