Lead a High-Value, Large-Scale Distribution Operation

Our client, is seeking an experienced and commercially astute Warehouse Manager to take full operational accountability for their high-volume distribution centre.

This is a senior leadership role overseeing:

  End-to-end warehouse and logistics operations

  
  

We are looking for a decisive, performance-driven leader with deep operational expertise, strong industrial relations capability, and a proven track record in large-scale warehousing environments.

Key Accountabilities

• 
  

  Full oversight of receiving, storage, inventory control, picking, dispatch, and distribution.

  
  


• 
  

  Management of high-value inventory (R100m+) with strict control over accuracy, shrinkage, and stock integrity.

  
  


• 
  

  Driving operational efficiency, productivity, and service level performance through structured process management and continuous improvement.

  
  


• 
  

  Leadership of a large, unionised workforce, ensuring sound industrial relations and compliance with collective agreements.

  
  


• 
  

  Implementation and maintenance of robust internal controls, reporting frameworks, and cost management disciplines.

  
  


• 
  

  Ensuring full compliance with Occupational Health & Safety legislation and all legal requirements.

  
  


• 
  

  Leveraging WMS and ERP systems to optimise visibility, reporting, and operational performance.

  
  

Minimum Requirements

• 
  

  Bachelor’s degree (NQF Level 7) in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field.

  
  


• 
  

  Minimum 10 years’ experience in a senior warehouse/logistics management role within a large-scale operation.

  
  


• 
  

  Demonstrated experience managing:

    High-value inventory (R100 million+)

    Large SKU environments (10,000+ SKUs)

    Unionised teams with strong IR exposure

  Current Health, Safety, and Legal Compliance certifications.

  Advanced working knowledge of WMS, ERP systems, and operational reporting.

  Valid driver’s licence.
