Key Responsibilities
· Inventory Management:
Monitor stock levels and ensure that inventory is maintained at optimal levels to meet customer demand. This includes, conducting inventory audits and updating stock records and maintaining accurate stock records for all medical consumables, pharmaceuticals, PPE and equipment across on-site clinic locations and mobile clinic services.
· Ordering and Replenishment:
Place orders for new stock as needed and manage the replenishment process to avoid stockouts
or overstock situations. Monitor stock levels against agreed minimum/maximum thresholds - trigger replenishment orders timeously.
· Data Management:
Maintain accurate records of inventory and stock management systems, ensuring data integrity
and compliance with company standards.
· Collaboration:
Work closely with suppliers, vendors, and internal teams to facilitate smooth procurement processes and resolve any discrepancies in stock levels. Liaise with suppliers to confirm deliveries, verifying quantities against purchase orders.
· Reporting:
Generate reports on inventory levels, stock movements, and purchasing activities to inform
management decisions and improve operational efficiency.
· Problem Solving:
Investigate and resolve discrepancies in reported quantities and locations of stock, and develop
plans to minimize losses and optimize inventory management processes.
· Clinical and Occupational Health Support
Ensuring the OMP clinical area is adequately stocked at the start of the day.
· Campaigns and large employer wellness requests
Coordinate with clinical team to deliver seasonal campaigns and wellness days.
· Cold Chain storage
Manage cold chain storage and maintain temperature monitoring records.
· Hazardous Waste Management
Maintain the relationship with the Waste Management provider ensuring the legal requirements are met and the waste disposal records are maintained.
Candidate Requirements
Required Skills and Qualifications
· Educational Background: A diploma in nursing science is a necessity or related field of study in the medical field.
· Attention to detail: for accurate record keeping and inventory tracking
· Experience: Previous experience in supply management and occupational health and Primary Health Care stock items.
· Technical Skills: Familiarity with inventory management software and systems
· is essential for tracking stock levels and managing orders.
· Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills are necessary
· for interacting with vendors, clients, and internal teams.
· Organizational Skills: Excellent organizational abilities to manage multiple tasks and
· priorities effectively.
