Our client is seeking a skilled and hands-on Solar Technician to join their Solar Division. The successful candidate must have proven experience in solar installations and demonstrate a strong technical background in electrical and/or mechanical work.

This role involves the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of solar systems across various project sites. The ideal candidate must be comfortable working in a practical, site-based environment and committed to delivering high-quality workmanship.

Key Responsibilities:
· Installation of solar systems (PV panels, inverters, batteries, and related equipment)
· Electrical and mechanical mounting and system connections
· Troubleshooting and repair of solar installations
· Perform preventative maintenance
· Ensure all work complies with safety and quality standards
· Collaborate with engineers and project teams on site
· Compliance with relevant SABS and electrical regulations
· Provide support during testing and commissioning of systems

Job Requirements:
·  National Senior Certificate.
· Valid driver’s license and own vehicle.
· Red Seal Technician qualification (Electrical or Mechanical) OR Millwright qualification (Electrical AND Mechanical)
· Proven solar experience.
· Strong practical knowledge of electrical systems
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team
· Willingness to travel to various project sites

Ons kliënt is op soek na ’n bekwame en prakties-vaardige Tegnikus om by die Solar-afdeling aan te sluit. Die suksesvolle kandidaat moet bewese ervaring hê in sonkraginstallasies en ’n sterk tegniese agtergrond in elektriese en/of meganiese werk toon.

Hierdie rol behels installasie, instandhouding en foutopsporing van sonkragstelsels op verskeie projekterreine. Die ideale kandidaat moet gemaklik wees om in ’n praktiese, terrein-georiënteerde omgewing te werk en werk van hoë gehalte te lewer.

Hoof Verantwoordelikhede:
· Installasie van sonkragstelsels (PV-panele, omsetters, batterye en verwante toerusting)
· Elektriese en meganiese montering en aansluiting van stelsels
· Foutopsporing en herstelwerk op sonkraginstallasies
· Uitvoer van voorkomende instandhouding
· Verseker dat alle werk voldoen aan veiligheids- en kwaliteitstandaarde
· Samewerking met ingenieurs en projekspanne op terrein
· Nakoming van relevante SANS- en elektriese regulasies
· Ondersteuning tydens toetsing en inbedryfstelling van stelsels

Pos Vereistes:
· Nasionale Senior Sertifikaat.
· Rooiseël Tegnikus kwalifikasie (Elektries of Meganies) OF Millwright kwalifikasie (Elektries én Meganies)
· Geldige bestuurslisensie en eie kar
· Bewese Solar-ervaring.
· Sterk praktiese kennis van elektriese stelsels
· Vermoë om onafhanklik en as deel van ’n span te werk
· Bereidheid om na verskeie projekterreine te reis
