Job OverviewWe are seeking a professional, service-driven Front of House (FOH) / Receptionist to deliver exceptional guest experiences at a luxury 4-star lodge. The successful candidate will be responsible for welcoming guests, managing reception operations, and ensuring outstanding hosting standards. This role requires a warm personality, strong communication skills, and a passion for hospitality excellence. Key ResponsibilitiesWelcome and assist guests in a professional and friendly manner.Deliver exceptional hosting and guest service experiences at all times.Manage guest check-ins and check-outs efficiently.Handle guest enquiries, requests, and complaints promptly and professionally.Coordinate guest activities, bookings, and lodge services.Maintain accurate reservation and guest records.Ensure reception and guest areas are well-presented at all times.Work closely with other departments to ensure seamless guest experiences.Maintain high service standards aligned with lodge expectations.
Minimum Requirements (Job Specification)
Experience & Qualifications
  • Previous Front of House or receptionist experience in a 4-star lodge or similar hospitality environment.
  • First Aid Level 1 certification (advantageous — can be completed through the lodge).
  • Strong knowledge of guest service and hospitality standards.
Skills & Competencies
  • Exceptional hosting skills (essential requirement).
  • Outgoing, friendly, and professional personality.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure.
  • Professional appearance and conduct.
  • Strong organisational and administrative skills.
Additional Requirements
  • No pets or dependants (live-in position).
  • Ability to work flexible schedules.
 
Employment Terms & Benefits
  • Work Cycle: 6 weeks on / 2 weeks off.
  • Annual Leave: 14 days per year.
  • Accommodation: Live-in position.
  • Provident Fund: Available after 3-month probation period.
  • Meals: Food provided while hosting.
Uniform: Provided by the lodge.
