Employer: LRHR (Pty) Ltd t/a Lotus HR and Recruitment

Our client, a prestigious turnkey engineering and steel works/fabrication company, seeks to employ a qualified and experienced QA/QC Manager, with a solid background in the heavy engineering, pressure piping or fabrication sector to join their team in Cape Town. Please note this is a role in the steel fabrication and heavy engineering sector, with preference to those who have worked in the refinery or petrochemical sector.

KEY REQUIREMENTS TO MEET FOR CONSIDERATION:

You will have Level 2 Welding Inspector certification (IPE advantageous), coupled with 10 years experience in a QC/QA environment, specifically in a refinery, high pressure piping or related environment, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or managerial capacity.

You will have sound experience in the implementation and management of ASME, AWS codes, as well as ISO 9001 and ISO 3834 standards.

You will have expertise in ensuring compliance with industry standards, manage quality systems, lead audits and weld/system inspections and provide continuous improvement initiatives.

Strong leadership, attention to detail and technical expertise is essential.

You must have a valid driver’s licence, own car and a clear criminal and credit record
