This is a full-time, on-site contract role (3 years) for a seasoned Mechanical Engineer based in Belfast. You will be responsible for the full lifecycle of mechanical systems—from design and development to rigorous testing. This role sits at the intersection of technical machine design and high-level project management within a dynamic coal mining environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Machine Design: Lead the design and development of mechanical systems and machinery tailored for mining operations.

• CAD Engineering: Utilize advanced Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software to create precise technical drawings and specifications.

• Project Management: Oversee multiple engineering projects simultaneously, ensuring all deliverables are met on time and within budget.

• Operational Compliance: Ensure all designs and mechanical systems meet strict technical specifications and safety standards for coal mine operations.

• Testing & Maintenance: Develop testing protocols for new machinery and oversee the implementation of mechanical improvements in the mining plant.
