We are seeking a Bridge Engineer to join a leading engineering consulting firm in Gauteng or Cape Town. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated civil engineer to contribute to the design, analysis, and delivery of bridge and infrastructure projects across South Africa.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, analysis, and detailing of bridge structures (concrete, steel, and composite)
• Preparation of engineering calculations, drawings, and specifications
• Participate in feasibility studies, site investigations, and design reviews
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure project delivery
• Ensure compliance with South African design codes (SANS) and industry standards
• Support construction supervision and technical guidance on site as required

Requirements:

• BEng or BSc in Civil Engineering
• 3+ years’ experience in bridge or structural engineering
• Strong knowledge of structural analysis software
• Understanding of loadings, materials, and design codes applicable to bridges
• Excellent problem-solving, technical, and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and within a project team
