Key Responsibilities
Operational Management
- Lead and coordinate all kitchen activities to ensure efficiency and consistency.
- Implement and maintain structured routines & standards across food preparation and service.
- Oversee scheduling, workflow, and staff performance.
- Food Safety & Compliance
- Ensure strict adherence to food safety regulations and hygiene standards.
- Conduct regular audits, inspections, and staff training.
- Maintain accurate documentation of food safety procedures and certifications.
Team Leadership
- Train, and mentor kitchen staff.
- Foster a positive, collaborative, and professional work environment.
- Conduct performance reviews and implement staff development plans.
Financial & Inventory Control
- Manage food costs through waste reduction, recipe management & proper stock movement
Quality Assurance
- Uphold Café Roux’s standards for food quality, presentation, and consistency.
- Collaborate with management on menu development and seasonal offerings.
- Ensure customer satisfaction through excellence in kitchen operations.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role within a busy restaurant or hospitality environment.
- Franchise experience is essential.
- Proven food safety qualifications or certifications.
- Must have their own reliable transport.
- Willingness to work weekends, nights, and public holidays.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to thrive under pressure while maintaining high standards.
- Passion for food, innovation, and operational excellence.
