Main Purpose of the Job:
The Key Account Manager – WC- company drives targeted coverage, sales, distribution, and retail presence across the entire inland landscape for company products.
They develop and execute innovative, scalable strategies to achieve sales goals, secure broad channel coverage, and build meaningful, data-driven connections with key account partners in the Western Cape.
Duties and Responsibilities
Establish, develop, and maintain positive business and customer relationships.
Perform cost-benefit and needs analysis of existing/potential customers to meet their needs.
Present, promote and sell products/services using solid arguments to existing and prospective customers.
Expedite the resolution of customer problems and complaints to maximize satisfaction.
Achieve agreed upon sales targets and outcomes within schedule.
Coordinate sales effort with team members and other departments.
Analyse the territory/market’s potential, track sales and status reports.
Supply management with reports on customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities, and potential for new products and services.
Participate in sales meetings and regular training.
Negotiate and use persuasion skills to overcome objections.
On time reporting and completion of daily administration objectives.
The implementation of promotions when applicable.
Provide ongoing market intelligence to management.

Candidate Requirements
Knowledge, Qualifications and ExperienceCompleted Matric
Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Sales Management or equivalent advantageous
Minimum 3- 5 years’ experience within a KAM role.
Attention to detail
Excellent verbal communication
Intermediate computer skills (MS Outlook, MS Office)
Own vehicle and a valid driver’s license
Skills, Competencies and Attributes
Proven work experience as a KAM
Highly motivated and target driven with a proven track record in sales
Excellent selling, negotiation, and communication skills
Prioritizing, time management and organizational skills
Relationship management skills and openness to feedback
Excellent listening skills to respond to customers' needs, wants, and concerns
