The main purpose of the job is to ensure each truss is assembled to the correct specifications and to the highest standard.
Description:
- Checking that the table is correctly set up
- Receiving timber to the table; ensuring timber is of the correct grade and ensuring timber is placed correctly on the table
- Receiving connector plates to the table; ensuring the connector plates are the correct size
- Marking the size and height of truss required on the timber
- Setting the jig accurately
- Placing the first truss on the table
- Ensuring components fit correctly
- Placing connector plates at each joint
- Pushing truss along rollers for plates to be pressed in place
- Ensuring trusses are uniformed
- Notifying Foreman when job completed
- Sweeping and cleaning of table area
- Adhering to safety policies and procedures
- To uphold and promote the company values and culture
Requirements:
Grade 12
2 years' experience in a relevant environment
