Employer: West Coast Personnel

My client is looking for a dynamic and experienced Retail Store Manager to oversee daily store operations and ensure profitability, performance, and exceptional customer service for their store in George, Western Cape.

This role is ideal for a strong leader with proven retail experience and the ability to manage large teams while driving strategy and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage all aspects of store operations to meet sales and profitability targets
Ensure merchandise availability, manage inventory, and authorise contracts
Develop and implement pricing and promotional strategies
Analyse financial and operational reports to improve efficiency and sales
Uphold legal and company compliance, including OHS and regulatory requirements
Build strong customer relationships and ensure service excellence
Oversee staff scheduling, training, performance management, and HR matters
Ensure workplace health and safety standards are met
Monitor and control budgets, expenditure, and identify cost-saving opportunities

Requirements:

Matric / Grade 12 (essential)
Diploma in Business Administration, Sales, or Marketing (advantageous)
Minimum 5 years’ experience in retail sales/marketing
Minimum 3 years in a supervisory/managerial role
Experience managing large teams and retail environments
Solid knowledge of compliance, stock control, and retail strategy
Strong interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills
Proficient in MS Office and relevant retail systems
High level of integrity, accountability, and problem-solving ability

Strong supervisory and team leadership capabilities
