Role Overview
We are seeking an energetic and highly proactive Senior Marketing Project Manager to lead the end-to-end delivery of a high-impact Thought Leadership Day. This role is responsible for driving the successful planning, coordination, and execution of a strategic event within defined scope, time, cost, and quality parameters.
The ideal candidate thrives in dynamic environments, demonstrates strong executive presence, and has proven experience managing complex marketing or corporate events with senior stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
End-to-End Event Project Management
- Lead the planning and execution of the event from concept through to post-event reporting.
- Define project scope, deliverables, milestones, and success metrics.
- Ensure delivery within agreed timelines, budget, and quality standards.
- Conclude the project with structured reporting and post-event evaluation.
Stakeholder & Executive Engagement
- Manage stakeholder relationships at Business Management level.
- Engage with speakers, executives, sponsors, and marketing teams.
- Provide structured progress updates to senior leadership.
- Escalate risks or decisions requiring executive input.
Planning & Coordination
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans with forecasts and actuals.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams including Marketing, Communications, Digital, Operations, and external vendors.
- Manage venue logistics, branding, content flow, speaker management, and delegate experience.
Budget & Resource Management
- Manage event budget and track spend against forecast.
- Oversee supplier contracts, agencies, and service providers.
- Ensure cost control within agreed tolerances.
- Performance & Customer Metrics
- Define and track event KPIs (attendance, engagement, lead generation, feedback scores, ROI).
- Ensure the event delivers measurable business value.
Minimum Requirements
- Relevant tertiary qualification.
- Minimum 8+ years’ experience in Public Relations Management or related relevant experience within Marketing, PR, Communications, or Event Management.
- Proven experience managing large-scale marketing events, conferences, or corporate activations.
- Strong stakeholder management experience at senior level.
- Experience managing budgets and multiple service providers.
