A mine based in Gauteng is actively looking for a reliable and experienced Chief Ventilation Officer.

Candidate Requirements

Minimum Requirements:

· Chamber of Mines Certificate in Mine Environmental Control.

· Lamp room management

· Member of the Mine Ventilation Society of South Africa

· Practical experience of at least 10 years in the Ventilation field of which a minimum of 2 years within an underground trackless environment

· Previous 12.1 MHSA legal appointment (advantageous)

· Sound knowledge of mine ventilation engineering and occupational hygiene principles.

· Sound knowledge of the MHSA and other statutory compliance requirements.

· Medical Certificate of fitness.

· Computer Literate in MS Office, SAP, and a working knowledge of specialised technical software
