MBEZE RESOURCES LTD (MBEZE) is an IVANHOE MINES company operating in the Zambian mining sector, with offices in Lusaka (Lusaka Province), and exploration licenses in North- Western Province Zambia near the town of Zambezi. MBEZE is inviting qualified candidates, both male and female, who are interested in this position. The place of work will be located in Lusaka, and extensive field work would be required. 

• Bachelor's degree in Geology/ Mining Geology/ Exploration Geology 
  
• Driver's License 
• 10 years of related industry experience in exploration and mining with at least 5 years of field-based exploration experience 
• Experience of developing mentoring junior geologist and helping them realise their potential 
• Experience working in the Central African Copperbelt
• Experience in exploration management and geological interpretation utilizing advanced geological exploration software packages 
• Experience of working with structural and geotechnical data acquisition and interpretation 

• Technical report writing 
• Technical presentation skills
• Geology data collection and interpretation 
• Quality Assurance 

Technical Skills should include:

• Numerate 
• Computer literate 
• GIS Software

Process: Provide supervision, training and mentorship to the exploration geology team.

• To develop and encourage that best practice guidelines are followed in the fields of exploration planning, diamond drilling, geological and geotechnical data acquisition and processing
• To compile advanced geological reports and presentations on Project Geology and Mineralization and to work towards ensuring the project team develop an overall understanding of the geological controls on mineralization of the Project.
• Assist with the supervision of exploration camps
• To manage Safety, Health and Environment (SHE) at a project level and ensure that company SHE policies and procedures are being adhered to
• To assist the geological team in advanced geological, interpretations.
• Be familiar with QAQC and database management.
• Supervision of core logging, sampling, data capture and interpretation.
• Oversee field sampling and drill contractor teams.
• Other duties applicable to the running of exploration as necessary.
